Fund Raisers
Parents:
Sometimes it isn’t easy to find the $275 or $375 (plus bus fee) to support your son’s soccer season. But if we all don’t pay our share towards the soccer budget, needed uniforms, equipment, and supplies can’t be purchased or replaced and the program suffers. The school district does not supply your child with uniforms, warm-ups, equipment bags, parkas, socks, balls, goals, nets, medical kits, training aides, banquets or awards. These are provided by the CVHS Soccer Booster’s, an organization of parents that volunteer their time and financial support to Cougar Soccer.
Therefore, it is vital for all of us to do our part to raise the money needed. For many of us, fund raising is necessary….but it is also the smartest and easiest way to pay for soccer. The money doesn’t come out of your pocket; it comes from local merchants that want to support our school programs….and we in turn, repay them by supporting their businesses. Selling christmas trees, ads and participating in other fundraising opportunities are ways to assist your share of the money needed for our program.

*South County Fun Cards: Fun Cards are community discount cards. You buy them from us for $6.00 and sell them to your friends, neighbors, and members of the community for $15.00. You earn $9.00 immediately for each card sold. Selling 31 cards will cover $275 for the 2010-2011 season. Fun cards will be available for purchase at the October 28th meeting. We request that you meet your $275 support in full, then purchase the number of Fun Cards you wish to sell to recover your money.
*Selling Ads: Each year we publish a booklet that is given to every player’s family at the end of the soccer season. It contains information about all three soccer teams, the players, action pictures, stats and many advertisements the size of business cards up to full-page ads from merchants in our community.
For every ad you or your son sells, you will receive 50% of its value as reimbursement towards your soccer commitment, if requested.
At the bottom of the page you will find the link for the program ad form that should be presented to the merchant, filled out and returned to Ally or Quincie, with the ad and check. Don’t just think about getting an ad…. it is a great way to raise the funds….Go do it!
